| "My rehabilitation consisted of Physical, Occupational, and Speech Therapy. The program was intense and consistently handled by the staff who were not only professional but kind, concerned, and thoughtful. They made me feel comfortable and confident of my progress." - Raymond F. Cugini, former patient |

The Rehabilitation Unit is directed by Dr. Dawn Pearson. Dr. Pearson heads the Interdisciplinary Rehabilitation Team and reviews each plan of care with the team weekly. The team, in cooperation with the patient and/or family, sets the goals to be met for the coming week and reviews progress made toward discharge home.
Each patient's medical status is monitored and modified by the physician following that individual patient and by a dynamic nursing team. Follow-up appointments are scheduled with referring physicians with proper documentation to assure continuity of care upon discharge.
Dr. Pearson is a Board Certified in Behavioral Neurology/Neurorehabilitation and a Neurologist with Neurology Associates. She has also completed a fellowship in BehavioralNeurology/Neurorehabilitation and a fellowship in Neuropathology. Her special areas of interest include neurorehabilitation for head injury, stroke and dementia; behavioral issues associated with epilepsy, stroke and multiple sclerosis; and aphasia.
